She also volunteers as the VP of Communications and Webmaster for a new non-profit organization, The Forget for a Moment Foundation<\/a>. With a diploma in NewMedia and Publication Design, Jasmine loves design and sometimes works as a freelance Graphic Designer<\/a>.\u00a0In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading, guerrilla knitting, and photography. Why WordPress? Why do you like using WordPress?<\/strong><\/td>\nI work with WordPress because it\u2019s simple and highly flexible. I love that anyone can use it, and that it can be used to help create an online presence for anyone’s ideas no matter how big or small.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Why did you decide to speak at WordCamp Ottawa?<\/strong><\/td>\nI love teaching and I love WordPress. Organizing and speaking at my hometown’s WordCamp seemed like the natural thing to do.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
What is your talk going to be about?<\/strong><\/td>\nIn my talk,\u00a0Typography in Web Design<\/a>,\u00a0I’m going to discuss some typography basics and best practices as well as show you some current typographic trends in web design. I’m also going to show you a few ways to add groovy Google Fonts to your WordPress website.
\nI am also participating in the panel,\u00a0Building Your Business, Cause, or Brand using WordPress<\/a>. I will be commenting on my\u00a0experiences\u00a0using WordPress for a non-profit organization.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
