Why do you like using WordPress?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"325\">I work with WordPress because it\u2019s really easy to use. \u00a0My clients get web sites that they can manage and update mostly on their own, and as a developer I get a framework that is easy to modify or extend with add-ons and plugins.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"158\" height=\"17\"><strong>Why did you decide to speak at WordCamp Ottawa?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"325\">I\u2019ve worked with WordPress for the past 5 years, and I want to see it continue to grow. Organizing this WordCamp and speaking too, provides an opportunity to give back to the WordPress community in a way that supports it and helps it thrive.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"158\" height=\"17\"><strong>What is your talk going to be about?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"325\">My talk on multilingual WordPress is intended to introduce users of all levels the concepts and resources needed to be able to set-up a WordPress site in one or more languages other than the default English.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Introduction to WordPress&#8221; is to help new WordPress users get a running start before all the sessions on Saturday.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"158\" height=\"17\"><strong>What is your favourite WordPress plugin or theme? Why?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"325\">As a developer I use a lot of different plugins, but few that I use most of the time are <a title=\"Gravity Forms\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gravityforms.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gravity Forms<\/a>, <a title=\"Google Analytics for WordPress\" href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\/extend\/plugins\/google-analytics-for-wordpress\/\" target=\"_blank\">Google Analytics for WordPress<\/a>, and <a title=\"TinyMCE Advanced\" href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\/extend\/plugins\/tinymce-advanced\/\" target=\"_blank\">TinyMCE Advanced<\/a>. I\u2019m also using a couple new ones for building multilingual sites on WordPress multisite \u2013 <a title=\"Multisite Language Switcher\" href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\/extend\/plugins\/multisite-language-switcher\/\" target=\"_blank\">Multisite Language Switcher<\/a> and <a title=\"WP Native Dashboard\" href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\/extend\/plugins\/wp-native-dashboard\/\" target=\"_blank\">WP Native Dashboard<\/a>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rick Radko is a creative, artistic, and entrepreneurial engineer with a passion for finding solutions to difficult design problems.
