What\u2019s the difference between WordPress.org and WordPress.com?<\/h3>\n

WordPress.org is free software that anyone can download and use. WordPress.com is a blog hosting service built on the WordPress.org software. WordPress.org is a good choice for individuals and organizations looking for a more powerful, customized WordPress solution. WordPress.com is good for those who simply want to start a blog. Where is WordCamp Ottawa taking place?<\/h3>\n

WordCamp Ottawa 2014 is taking place at the Minto Centre at Carleton University. Learn more.<\/a><\/p>\n

Should I bring a print-out of my ticket?<\/h3>\n

If you registered before the final cut-off, a print-out isn\u2019t necessary. Just bring your ID and we\u2019ll take care of the rest!<\/p>\n

What time does WordCamp Ottawa start and end?<\/h3>\n

Conference registration begins on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive around that time so we can get everyone checked in at the registration desk. Officially scheduled events begin at 8:30 a.m. and you don\u2019t want to be late \u2013 we start on time! Presentations will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., and we plan to have a networking get-together<\/a> beginning at 6:15 p.m.<\/p>\n

What is a Happiness Bar?<\/h3>\n

The Happiness Bar<\/a> is a special activity at WordCamp where local and visiting WordPress experts offer help and advice to other attendees who come up to the Bar with their WordPress questions.<\/p>\n

Should I bring my laptop?<\/h3>\n

A laptop is not required, but please feel free to bring any computing devices you are comfortable with. We will have WiFi.<\/p>\n

Will there be wireless Internet?<\/h3>\n

Yes! We\u2019ll have details on how to connect at registration.<\/p>\n

Can I tweet during the sessions? Can I blog about it afterwards?<\/h3>\n

Please do! There will be many people tuning in to see what\u2019s going on. Use #wcottawa<\/a> so we can all follow the conversation. If you plan to live blog and post it on your website, let us know and we\u2019ll post a link to your site when we do our final roundup post. Last year we were trending and we hope to do the same this year!<\/p>\n

I\u2019m from out of town! Where can I stay?<\/h3>\n
